The Investigation of Alignment of Business Intelligence capabilities and components in Conjunction with Creating Business Intelligence Benefits (case: SMEs of Tehran)

Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the alignment of business intelligence capabilities and components in order to create Business Intelligences benefits based on Gartner Maturity Model. Method of purpose and the method of data collection is descriptive and correlational.Study population contains 149 small and medium businesses that according to Morgan table with a cluster sampling method, a sample of 108 companies were selected and finally with collected 100 questionnaires from these companies, structural equation modeling is used to assess relationships between variables. Results indicate a significant relationship between the capabilities of business intelligence and its components and moderate variable of maturity levels of business intelligence played no role in this relationship.In addition,the only meaningful direct relattionship is between business intelligence capabilities and its benefits and mediator variable cant play the indirect role between business intelligence capabilities and its benefits because there is no significant relationship between the components of business intelligence and benefits.
