Information Technology (IT) in the present era has affected all aspects of organizations as a new strategy; therefore imagine an organization without IT and keeping abreast with new technologies seems impossible. The current research seeks to identify factors affecting the adoption of IT innovation in governmental organizations. To this end the indices affecting IT Innovation adoption have been extracted after reviewing theoretical background and categorized in 5 factors using Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA). Also Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) based on Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) has been used to investigate the relation between indices and factors. Research Findings show that indices like relative advantage & innovativeness, security & reliability, organizational culture, managerial support, socio-economic status and cooperation & coordination among organization departments play an important role in IT Innovating adoption.
